About Natalia

Natalia Rachel

Writer | Poet | Speaker | Facilitator

Natalia Rachel is a writer and innovator who helps us understand how to heal and co-create a kinder, more intelligent and connected world. Her work weaves together the healing arts, the creative arts and education, and continues to have intersectional impact across industries. It inspires a greater understanding of our human experience, why we behave the way we do, and how to move the needle individually, and collectively through unearthing our innate primordial intelligence. Her belief is that the more of us who heal, become embodied and self-aware, the more swiftly our world will transform for the better. Her current mission is to bring healing work to new spaces in ways that are creative, accessible, and transformational. As a creator and facilitator, Natalia is known for her words and voice that speak straight to the heart, wake up the spirit, and curate a field of greater compassion and capacity. Her work always lives and breathes on both the somatic and relational planes. Her ability to bring us into greater felt sense, and a deeper relational awareness continues to welcome deeper healing, epiphany and the kind of shifts that we often seek but can’t access. Her following is truly global, and she has had the opportunity to speak and teach in Asia, USA, Europe, and Australia. Natalia engages as a keynote speaker, leadership trainer, consultant and runs several open programs that attract participants who are committed to serving, leading and relating in ways that heal, as well as their own continued healing work. Natalia’s first book ‘Why Am I Like This?’ is out now with Penguin Random House, and inspires a shift in the way we think about who we are, and how to live in ways that heal rather than harm. She’s currently writing her second book ‘Love Sex Poetry Peace’ which explores the ways we give and receive love in the modern world. Natalia is also a prolific poet, and writes two columns for Singapore mega publication ‘Her World’. Commencing her career in the clinical space as a practitioner and clinical director, Natalia made strides in developing Asia’s first integrated somatic trauma clinics. Aside from bringing much needed alternative therapies to greater access in Asia, Natalia also shone in the realm of eco-system building, communicating with key stakeholders and building a vision-oriented strategy that was practical to implement. During her time in Asia, Natalia saw the need for more education and healing spaces that were both trauma informed as well as human centric and accessible. Her teaching career began with professional development for clinicians, expanded to healthcare leadership and personal and community-based programs that would allow those outside the clinical world opt into their own healing process. Natalia is the proud recipient of several awards for her purpose-driven work including The Women Icon’s Asia Award and the World Women Leadership Award. Currently Natalia resides in Sydney Australia, where she is exploring how art can become our greatest healer. ‘The Living Poetry Project’ pilot program, in conjunction with University of New South Wales, inspired youths to explore their relationship narratives through group process and poetry, and received praise across the board. The muti-media experiential process will serve as a point of departure for future projects in Australia and abroad. Illuma Health continues to operate as the healthcare division of Illuma Vision, Natalia’s multimedia and production company that produces programs for purpose and media for mankind.
